A Kirghiz boy from the Little Pamir of Afghanistan dutifully sits beside his sewing mother. The Afghan Kirghiz are the nomads inhabiting the “roof of the world” of Pamir mountains, and live in yurts during the summer, autumn, and spring months. They migrate four times in a year.
