The Minaret of Burana is among few ancient Silk Road architectural heritages that can be found in Kyrgyzstan. It is a remnant of the old city of Balasagun from the 9th century. The minaret was originally 45 meter high, but only 25 meter left after it was rocked by an earthquake.
