A Kazakh family of Bayan Olgii, Western Mongolia is having lunch with a pile of mutton. The Kazakhs are predominantly Muslim minority groups inhabiting the westernmost part of Mongolia, especially in the province of Bayan Olgii. While eating, each of them bring a knife to cut the big pieces of meat, and they all share their food from one big plate in the middle. In the tradition of the Central Asian nomads, the food sharing is the sign of unity and solidarity.
