Students in rural Toktogul, central Kyrgyzstan, are studying English in their school. Ex-Soviet countries generally have high coverage of education; even the poorest countries have illiteracy rate next to zero. This Toktogul Birimkulov Elementary and Middle School has adopted international teaching system and receive Peace Corps volunteers from the United States. Thanks to the Peace Corps volunteers, many of the students have won national-level English language competition.
