China celebrates the 40th anniversary of the founding of Tibetan Autonomous Region since 1965, and the security in Lhasa and all over Tibet was tightened. The main location of the celebration ceremony is in front of Lhasa’s Potala Palace–once was the seat of Tibetan god-kings Dalai Lama. As Chinese People’s Liberation Army entered Lhasa to “liberate Tibet peacefully”, the Dalai Lama escaped to India and now resides in Dharamsala. Since then, China takes full control on Tibet. Countries in the world also now legally recognize that Tibet is an integral part of China.
