The Afghans celebrate the New Year according to the Persian ancient tradition, when sun arrives in north equinox. The center of Naoruz celebration in Afghanistan is the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif, where various festivities are held simultaneously. One of the unique and rare games is the camel fighting. It is said that the tradition was brought to Afghanistan by the Arab migrants centuries ago.
