Lollywood from Lahore is Pakistan’s answer to Bombay’s Bollywood, as the films from the Indian counterpart are banned from theatres all across Pakistan. In the real life in Pakistan, you barely see women in public space. But in many of Lollywood movies, you can see female dancers (mostly stocky) moved their bodies seductively. The other typical scene is big moustached actors with big guns shoot to each other, then bathe in blood, but the hero will never die. Both of these main elements were mixed in a weird proportion, making one wonder about the genre, whether it is an erotic movie or an action one. But surely, parental guidance is necessary.
