The Chapursan valley in Northern Pakistan experience extreme winter every year. Some villages suffer more, as they are located in a valley surrounded by perpendicular cliffs, thus living under the shadows of the giant mountains and receiving no sunshine for two and half months consecutively. Nevertheless, the Wakhi Tajik inhabitants are renowned for their hospitable tradition to cater any visiting travelers.
